Today, Shireen discusses updates on Texas' SB 4, which allows for people to be arrested and detained on suspicion of being in the country illegally. In December, the Supreme Court validated the law in a 6-4 decision. But, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated an injunction against the law last week. With the CAA and the possibility of enacting the National Register of Citizens (NRC), many claim that Muslim immigrants living in India will now be turned into refugees, with more barriers for reentry into the country.
