It may seem like extra work, but it's definitely a time saver once it's done. That's not even considering the mental load and having less food waste. Try meal planning out for a few weeks. Print this out (link below) and put it on the fridge so the whole family can see it. I promise that if you take 15 - 20 minutes on Sunday to plan out meals for the week, that you will have less stress throughout the week (and less "What are we having for supper?" comments) We'd love to see a pic of your meal plan for the week- it may help inspire others too! Workouts of all sizes welcome

Can we stop shaming people for going to the gym to do something they could do at home? I have trained MANY clients that had full blown gyms in their homes. They never consistently worked out there. They obviously had great intentions and goals because they bought everything they’d need. Do you know what happened? They struggled to set aside the time. Your frame of mind at home, especially as a busy parent, is that there is always something else more productive you could be doing. That load of laundry, dishes, making dinner, that work project you could just use 20 more minutes to finish. As we ..read more

The events of the past two years have done their best to break us, but we refuse to be broken. Instead we are choosing to pivot, to protect our business, our mental health and to continue to provide an outlet for the community that we love so dearly. This likely won't come as a surprise to many, but we are choosing to move to a new facility to lower our operating costs and improve efficiency. This change allows us opportunities to build an efficient space for the needs of our members, to maintain current membership pricing and to continue to be an inspiring and welcoming atmosphere! I do truly appreciate living in a country that gets to experience all four seasons. That is a privilege that many in the world don’t get to enjoy. Unfortunately the change of the season has brought us to that lovely time of year where it’s dark when we head to work and dark when we come home. I think we’ve all learned a little bit more about SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) in the last few years and how it can affect many of our lives. For some people it’s feeling a little down, for some it affects their lives in a big way. Today I’ve compiled some tips you may have heard of and some that mig ..read more

There’s a very common belief that eating healthy is expensive, and while in many circumstances it may be more expensive to eat ‘healthy,’ this isn’t necessarily true! I wanted to share a few ideas on ways that you can fuel your body well without breaking your budget, during the Winter & early Spring seasons. Purchase frozen fruits & vegetables. While the taste might not be as amazing as it is fresh, frozen vegetables & fruits still carry LOADS of nutrients. You can eat them plain or add them into a stir-fry, salad, casserole or omelette! Partake in meatless meals! It’s no surpr ..read more

Journaling for Beginners

I know everyone has heard of journaling as a tool to help with mental health but a lot of people aren’t quite sure how to go about starting so here are my top tips to make journaling work for you: 1- Buy a Cute Notebook. I will seriously stand in the dollar store for WAY too long looking at all of the different books. I prefer ones that are lined but if you’re more of a person that likes to draw you might want one with blank pages. 2-The Topic Is Yours When beginning Journaling, it can be hard to know what to write. If I’ve had a stressful/hectic day or have one coming up I will write out wha ..read more
