So I have a John Deere z465, and I just did my yearly maintenance and it’s has just a little over 1000 hours. A little after I did the oil change, the engine started to flood itself terribly. I looked in the the top of the carb and there is a ton of fuel flooding into the crab, so I undid the fuel like and the engine ran for over 5 minutes with no fuel. I may be wrong but I believe what I think is the pcv blows out a ton of air and that is what pull there fuel out of the tank. The pull start was yanking back out of my hands extremely hard, I’ve heard this can be the valve lashes or the flywheel key, I tried to start it with the spark plug unplugged and it didn’t yank back, meaning it should be a sheered flywheel key, but I checked and it didn’t look sheered at all, it is an after market flywheel, but it said to use the stock key which I did. My brand new gx690 worked and ran perfect for 5 days. I was washing a house, shut the machine down quick to talk to a customer, went to restart the machine and just click. Hey everyone! I have a Honda HRT216 KDSA Mower that won't start. It has a new Spark Plug, Fresh Oil and Gas, and a clean Carbeurator. For some reason, it refuses to start, though it tries and gets close with gas in the Carbeurator. The only thing strange I've noticed is that the choke is always open and doesn't change with the throttle choke.
