I have been fighting this for the past two or three months. Plants will grow very well for awhile and then they start getting covered by these black spots which eventually spread across the whole leaf and then the leaf will melt over the next week. I’ve tried cutting my C02 down to about 20 ppm, I’ve cut my ferts in half (I am using the PPS pro method). I am running an AI Freshwater Blade (Red-110%, Cool White- 110%, Blue-30%). I just changed them last night to (Red-80%, Cool White-80%... Read more ..read more

Hello, BarrReport forums, I've been keeping aquariums for about 10 years now, and its been a pretty fun ride, but I'd like this iteration of my tank to be well-kept, and an exercise at record-keeping. I have made all the mistakes one could possibly make in the hobby, and a few that keep me awake night. I started in 2014 hoping that this hobby could provide a stable base of positive feedback in my life based on the effort I put in, and a decade later am overjoyed to see that the passion I... Hello everyone, After several years of taking a break from aquascaping, I'm getting back into it. I've immersed myself in reading about the EI (Estimative Index) methods, and I would like some clarification on a point: I see in some discussions various information regarding Seachem Equilibrium / GH BOOSTER, so here is my question: What is the correct dose to put in RO water during the water change (40L) for a 60x40x40 tank (96L less sand and rocks around 85L) Here I read : "SeaChem... I have been reading contradicting information on the internet regarding phosphate levels. Majority says keep under 1.0 for a planted tank. Others say keep under 5.0 for a planted tank. I have a low tech tank. Should phosphate be under 1.0 or 5.0 ..read more

hello all, I recently did a water change at night and turned the light on at 5 percent. i was shocked to see tiny snails all over the front glass. I had seen them in daytime when the lights are on, but not in that quantity. There were 15-20 of them on the glass. Now I do not know if these are harmful to the plants or should I leave them alone or should put something which will make a meal of them. I prefer not to overstock with fish. Do I have any options? please guide ..read more
