I can’t tell if I’m doing good or bad, I’ve lost 30 pounds and my surgery was on 4/8/24. I haven’t been weighing myself because I was stalling. I feel like I can tolerate a lot more than what they tell me, things like rice and the yolk of eggs. So I have been eating those things and feel great. It feels like I’m cheating though, and I’m scared I’m overeating, but I’m really not eating that much. I am now eight weeks out and have been so blessed... No pain, no gas, no itching from incisions, no dumping, weight is slowly coming off (30 lbs since surgery, 55 lbs from highest) and no new foods have bothered me...except one thing. I can eat almost anything except meat. It doesn't matter if it's tuna, ground beef, chicken or turkey (I haven't tried pork yet), it hurts and it inevitably comes back up. So. This title. Let me explain. Many undergo surgery, see great results and get set to maintain. As you’re going thru the entire process , notice they don’t talk about fitness weights etc. When you challenge them asking why , they don’t really have an answer. I started this journey weighing around 97kg (around 214 lbs) with a bmi of 44. I'm very short, 148cm (4'10") to be exact.
