Audi has instigated a revamp of the leadership within its F1 operation, with Andreas Seidl, previously CEO of Sauber Motorsports and Oliver Hoffman, formerly chairman of the board of all Sauber companies, moving on. Aston Martin’s Valkyrie Le Mans Hypercar has appeared in public for the first time, with testing getting underway at the Donnington Park circuit in the UK. Due to make its competition debut in 2025, running in both the WEC and IMSA series, the car is unique amongst its peers in that it is based on a roadgoing (albeit very low-volume) model. Aston Martin, alongside The Heart of Racing team, will now commence a full development schedule to prepare the car ahead of FIA homologation in the autumn. The ACO has announced a partnership with McLaren Applied for the provision of vehicle control units and other sensor hardware to its H24Evo hydrogen fuel cell prototype. The H24Evo will run McLaren Applied’s latest-generation vehicle controller, the VCU-500, designed specifically for electric racing applications and widely used in Formula E. The FIA has announced a new set of technical regulations for an accessible, entry-level touring car class based on existing rally regulations. The new category, TC Lite, will comprise of two subclasses, TCL4 and TCL5, utilizing existing Rally4 and Rally5 regulations and providing competitors with one car suitable for both rallying and circuit racing competitions.
