So 3 weeks post op, I'll be back in college living in a dorm that does not come with a stove so what I'll be able to make is extremely limited. I was wondering what are some of your favorite things to eat that I can prepare in a lovely microwave or eat as is in my extremely limited situation (especially frozen products). The only thing I'm aware of so far is canned tuna and frozen veggies. At this point I think I'll be in the soft/puree food stage but I'll be double checking on that. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you  ..read more

Hey so I started my liquid diet last week, its been super hard I had no idea how much it would mentally affect me but im slowly getting the hang of it. I'm supposed to be having 4 shakes a day, on 2 of the days I've switched 2 shakes for a hot soup as I missed something hot. Weighed myself today and says iv lost 4lbs. My question is, is this good progress? Would I have better progress if I just have the 4 shakes and nothing else. Iv been having sugar free ice pops and jelly in-between if I'm absolutely starving. I just want to know if this is good or i could be doing better? Thanks for any adv ..read more

Got home from the hospital this afternoon - stayed 2 days. Not gonna lie, still feel pretty rough. Surgery apparently went fine, did the bypass and fixed a hernia. The stay in the hospital wasn't great. My IV infiltrated twice so my right arm is blown up like a balloon. I'm up 12 pounds from all the fluid in me. Sporting my stylish compression stockings for the next 2 weeks. Looking forward to getting through Sunday when I can finally have some Soup. Still no regrets ..read more

I am a week shy of my 1 year revision to bypass and almost 4 years from weight loss surgery as a whole.  I still get sick if I eat one bite too many and have to be careful.  It varies day to day really.  Yesterday I got sick off off my breakfast which I didnt even finish.  I only ate half !!!  Just wondering how many of us still get sick after a year from eating small amounts of food ..read more
