One of the best investments I’ve made (D.F.A.T)

Picked up a DFAT from Rifles Only late last year for dry fire practice between matches. It has quickly become a staple of match prep. I use old match books to set up scenarios and run through them 2 times a week. It has allowed me to tighten up my movements and learn where I’m wasting time, with the biggest improvement being in target acquisition. It’s also shown me what positions I’m prone to wobble in and how to minimize it. If you’re thinking about getting one, it’s well worth the price in my opinion. submitted by /u/farm2pharm [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Heavy bolt lift with factory ammo and aero solis

Shot my new Aero solus with proof stainless barrel yesterday and had some issues with heavy bolt lift. I was shooting Norma golden target. I've shot this lot of ammo through other rifles with no issues. Velocity was all fine, averaged about 2685 FPS and no other signs of high pressure. What should I be looking at? Edit: yes I see the typeo in the title... submitted by /u/groupofgiraffes [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Why does Bergara make their B14 rifles with 20" inch barrels for .308, while the same B14 comes in 22" inch or 24" inch barrels for 6.5 Creedmor?

I've purchased a B14 Ridge in 308 which comes with a 20" inch barrel, but if the option for a longer barrel was available, I would have gotten that instead. The next best option for me would be 6.5 Creedmor which has a 22" barrel on the Ridge and a 24" barrel on the HMR. This is for hunting and maybe some long range precision shooting, but mainly hunting. I don't think I'd be shooting game past 300-400 yards at most, but I think the extra barrel length would help with the long range fun. I'm considering cancelling my background check for my 308 and buying a 6.5 Creedmor for the extra barrel l ..read more
