I have nearly every U.S. top ten horror movie released since 1922, but information relevant to the British box office seems to be much more scarce.
What was the tradepaper they used to record what was hot each week in the cinemas? Box Office Mojo only has limited data beginning from 1996, or 2000.
I find that peculiar, because the UK has to be just as big as North America, surely ..read more

When I backup data from my laptop, the backup includes the encrypted volume container (not partition) that contains my personal data.
When I buy a new laptop I need to copy the encrypted file container to the new machine.
Is the following the correct procedure for copying the backed up encrypted file container to the new machine?
(1) On New machine install Veracrypt and create the new volume
(2) Mount the new volume.
(3) Copy the backed up encrypted volume to...

I am currently running a S22 Ultra with T-Mobile but I am having the common overheating and network connection issues that seems to happen to all of them eventually and I just paid it off. This was probably my least favorite smartphone. It was more buggy than any Android I have had, it always got hot far too easy, and the battery life was never great.
I am leaning towards a S23 Plus as it doesn't seem there is much incentive to get an Ultra and spend an additional $300. Plus, I can...

I've been playing Palworld a lot recently and for some reason my computer likes to re-boot itself in mid-game,which plays havoc with my save-game files. Is there a way to find out why it's doing this so I can do something about it as I can't seem to find any logs why it restarted ..read more

I am getting ready to build myself a new PC but I have never seen this happen consistently before. When I make changes to files such as renaming or moving them to another file, the changes will not reflect until I refresh that particular file. I mostly use OneCommander but I like using Windows Explorer for my photos I edit.
I have done all the standard maintenance and diagnostic with Glarys and WinTools without any glaring problems. I have seen this happen temporarily in the past but this...

I'm a new user since another website/forums have been taken down. But my few initial posts were met with vitriol and such harassing responses I wanted nothing to do with this web site. In the interim, I have found other (well respected) sites that give "Major Geeks" such a good recommendation, that I will consider giving it another try ..read more

I have an iPad 9 that gets kicked off the wireless network about every 45 mins. If I disconnect from the wireless, then reconnect I am good for another half hour or 45 mins.
This is at my “work dorm” so I have no access to the routers and such.
I am limited on Mac network stuff. Any advice on how to stay online ..read more

Awhile back I found a unused Dell Dimension C521 with Vista along with monitor, keyboard, mouse, cables, speakers at an estate sale. I brought it home, did a clean install, put some apps that still have support, and added some retro video games. I used it for maybe 3 hours. I put it up for sale and I just sold it and the buyer had a request for a game so I went to install it tonight and it won't post.
When I hooked it up, I didn't listen for the post but there was no video output. I...
