I have no idea what happened or exactly what it did but apparently the function of the wheel of my mouse was misconfigured and when I move it it opens a small window with a bar and "volume" style number that go up and down depending on how the wheel moves. Once the wheel allows me to navigate through a long page and to top it all, the click of the wheel does not work either and it does not allow me to open tabs in the browser. How can I reconfigure it?

Running HDMI from my laptop to my monitor was working fine aside from being a bit finicky with the hdmi handshake (I always have to wake up the computer seconds after turning on the monitor, but I have it down to a science now) until I connected it to my home theater receiver via hdmi... Now when I try to connect it back to my monitor, the computer screen goes black and the monitor does not detect any signal and the normal trick is not working at all. I can't seem to figure out what happened... any ideas? I need to be able to use it tomorrow for work so I'm in a bit of a tight spot.
Edit: I ..read more

Hi sirs.
I'm a noob in upgrading pc's.
Please help me out in upgrading my old pc to 8GB ram, because my younger brother needs that PC.
I currently use my laptop ,so I don't need that old chap, that old desktop is with ddr2 4GB ram at 800mhz. My brother needs it so I'm trying to give it to him. But I think I need to upgrade it, because it's still 4GB ram with low ram speed.
It's running 2 x 2GB ddr2 800mhz, is it worth upgrading it to 8GB?
That PC motherboard supports up to 8GB ram I checked in their website.
So now I'm trying to upgrade it and clean install windows for my brother.
It has 4 ra ..read more

Sometime between September and November of 2020 I was reading reviews on the longest lasting most reliable hard drives used in servers. I bought an hgst 4tb, I believe it was one of the helium filled drives that are supposed to be good for 1,000,000+hr it's attached to a raspberry pi 4 4gb via powered Anker usb3 to sata adapter.
It worked well for a few months but it's loaded with bad sectors and completely took a shit today. These are supposed to be guaranteed for like 5yr, but I don't even remember where I bought it from or have a receipt of any sort. I think I bought it off Newegg but mess ..read more

I got a computer to repair, it has b250 board with ddr4 memory, its complaint was not booting, the CPU fan spin for a couple of seconds then stops… almost like a ram issue, so I replaced its ram with my computer ram, after still that shows the same… I left it with a motherboard issue, later I placed my ram back to computer next day my system began to act weird, next day system completely dead. Processor fan runs, but not booting, anyone knows or any hint about this please help me…
