In my quest of staying entertained, I've dump eso the dump truck and started playing Lost Ark. So far it took only a few hours to get my bearings and get going and I feel like that is do to the common sense itemization ui.  The UI for itemizing , upgrading and ability to understand what is happening has seemingly stayed consistence since the last time I played. So many games rewrite the core systems with new ui's and with ridiculous tabs and sub menu, it was refreshing to jump in and say "o remember now this does that and that does this". Every update it seems more and more bots are replacing player spots. Normally after an update you see around 200k players playing on average, within a day or so that jumps up of 700k-800k and pushes queue wait to over 10k. Once you get into the game you see them running around everywhere like cockroaches, kill stealing ect.  This seems to be mostly a Western version issue. It's pissing folks off, including me who are on the verge of hanging up the game; but perhaps this is on purpose. So I completed a quest line in Yorn today and found my character integrated into the first "musical" cut scene I've  ever seen in a MMORPG. It's pretty clever, and definitely took some extra effort to localize.  Appears to even be versions in other languages such a s Spanish. Check it out here. My two biggest gripes with lootboxes are that they can target kids AND that they hide the odds in order to make people chase items they have a ridiculously low chance of winning. Well, At least Lost Ark has the odds built right into the store where you buy them: Just thought this was interesting... dunno if other games do this but it's a step in the right direction.  At least ADULTS can be informed before their gambling.
