Been playing with locks for a few months, finally got my first open on this ABUS 55/40 that hasn't been an easy pick. Guess it's time to submit to the mods for a belt. submitted by /u/Impossible-3006 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Picked a Masterlock 575 last night. These were kind of fun. They were very similar to the Masterlock LOTO but less sloppy. I actually really like the feel of this lock I just wish it wasn’t so easy otherwise I might use it on something. submitted by /u/lnx_apex [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

This is a addition to this post https://www.reddit.com/r/lockpicking/s/7dtZAj4hBY Hello again, I am creating this as an update. First there are a few things I’m trying to decide on. I have access to a few lock picks kits the ones I’m deciding on are. - Jimylongs flat hooks .023 - Covert instruments genesis+ flat Tok turners - Sparrows single picks(flat bar set or curved bars, .020 monkey paw, high reach .020 short hook .020) Any other ideas? Or which one is best (i will add a poll) please add reasoning in comments. Another thing to add is that I also want training locks to get me up to green ..read more

Bought this suit bag from a thrift store and it came with this shitty combination lock. From pulling on the shackle it took less than a minute to open. But it still felt cool doing this for the first time ? submitted by /u/zylian [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Lock maintenance and restoration help

Was hoping I could tap the massive pool of knowledge available here in this sub for some advice/tips/insights when dealing with older locks that might need some help getting back to form. I have purchased several old padlock lots off eBay, and while the price is right, the locks are in subpar condition. Are there any recommendations for restoring the functionality of the core of an older lock, whether it is rusted or often just extremely stiff? My primary plan is just a bunch of wd40, but if there are better solutions or if that is a bad idea, I would greatly appreciate the feedback. Thank yo ..read more

"Wonderland" has finally hit the wild. It is a dc500 core loaded with original pin designs by myself and knox locks with an Alice in Wonderland theme. Its currently on the way to the UK. This one was definitely one of my nicer works featuring a double countermilled chamber as well as other shenanigans! submitted by /u/JonHolistik [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
