Derby Canyon Natives, located along the Wenatchee River near Peshastin, WA, is a specialty nursery growing wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, and trees native to Central Washington. Since 2002 we have provided container-grown plants produced from seeds and cuttings collected from the region's varied habitats, including shrub-steppe, forest, and riparian zones.

Summer is here, the Peshastin Bridge is Closed (June 17th – July 12th), and we are open by appointment only until September. If you can brave the detour through Leavenworth, we would still love to see you. Email Mel for an appointment: mel@derbycanyonnatives.com. We’re typically at the nursery between 6am and 2pm at this time of the year, every weekday.

We’ll be closed for retail sales through the summer, as we focus on watering plants, collecting seeds, and preparing for future crops. Please call the office at 509-240-9792, if you’d like to make an appointment to visit the nursery during this time. We’ll be open back up for retail sales September 1st, and will be open Fridays 9AM-5PM, and Saturdays 9AM-1PM, in September and October. Happy Summer ..read more

Derby Canyon Natives will be closing for the summer, after Saturday, June 17th, 2023. We’ll open back up again the first weekend in September. In the meantime, our hours will continue to be Fridays 9-5PM, and Saturdays 9-1PM.

We’ve been busy transplanting flower seedlings this spring, but cold and cloudy weather has delayed growth, so availability will be limited until the weekend of April 21st. Please check current availability listed on the Ordering Page if you’re interested in specific plants. Primroses, Columbia Lewisia, Spreading Dogbane, Hyssop, and other warm-loving species have been affected. Retail sales resume this Friday, September 2nd, and will continue through October. Hours are 9AM – 5PM on Friday, and 9AM – 1PM on Saturday. As the nursery will be open to the public every weekend, we’ve decided to stop filling pre-orders, and invite you to come down, browse our inventory, and select your plants.
