Hey so I usually buy the farmed unfrozen salmon at my local supermarket and it’s about £5 for 2 pieces. I just found out they do 4 pieces of wild salmon for only £4 and this seems to be the same with the other supermarkets, any idea why it’s so cheap and has anyone tried anything similar? It’s over half the price just wondered why that was.
This is the description of the frozen salmon:

I saw article after article about them canceling the salmon fishing all over California and Oregon and these articles make it sound like the fisherman are destroying the salmon populations. Which is just ludicrous. It's the commercial fishing that takes out large numbers in each net full. Climate change and ocean conditions definitely are having an impact as well. I think if we truly want the salmon populations to recover we have to stop commercial fishing or put massive regulations on it.
