I'm hoping to have a day on the salmon on the Annan in September. Its a scratch I want to itch, but I won't be buying any specialist equipment for it as it just won't get used. If the levels are very high and allow me to use spinning gear, I will probably do that, but I do have a 9ft 10# single handed rod that I use for pike. The question is, will that be suitable? Wandering about a burn today I came across a nice big otter spraint. Nothing odd about that but it is the first one that I have found with salmon eggs in it.
