So the other day one of the external door locks stopped working. From the inside all was good. So today I removed the outer handle and discovered a few things. First wow those tiny ball joints are very fragile. I snapped mine with slightest of effort. I was trying to undo the thread on the rod at the time as I couldn't easily remove it. Hey guys so I picked up this new electronic distributor from Vicks, trying to figure out how to connect it and if I need anything else to make really good spark and advance curve. It has a red wire and a green wire coming out of it, whereas the original has a brown wire and a green wire. Should I just put green to green and red to brown and I'm in business? Hi I took the car for a rolling road session to get the idle, timing and mixture dialled in. Very happy with the results - a mighty 91 bhp - it's a stock UK car except for K&N filter and one size up on the main and idle jets. I have swapped the factory Marelli S135 points distributor (no vac advance) with an electronic Marelli SE100CX unit off a later Uno 1.3, which has vacuum advance.
