Firstly, I wonder, why does my bike always (worse when cold but sometimes even when warm). start up and run a few seconds with no real power or torque? I'm not 100% certain it has always done this, but pretty sure it has. It's like, no matter what on starting it just needs to run a few seconds before full power comes on. Is this normal? Was looking into actually "finishing" my ms460 build by finally balancing the crank. I built my ms460 not too long ago and it ran great honestly up until I noticed the front engine bolts decided to eject themselves. So my CMB PK80 Wildcat now seems to be so much worthless junk. It died and needed top end gaskets, but after the repair, while it does run, it tops out around 22mph and cannot get up the slightest hill without pedal assist. Thus it is to me completely worthless junk now! I can't for the life of me figure out why, it just sucks now, I'd be better off pulling the motor and pedaling the bike again, and that's probably what will happen. Hello all, thanks for your time! So I adjusted the flower nut and it's perfect, everything is as it should be, but by the time I returned my bike is super hard to peddle. This keeps happening. I've adjusted the flower nut three times so far. And it's perfect when I start out..... I've disconnected everything and re-hooked it all up from scratch and I'm still having the issue... So I got the phantom up and running and boy does she run... All the bolts right out of everything.. Lol. So I'm having issues with my 2 cycle engine that it won't start. I've changed the cdi, magneto, the reed valve, and the plug. I've checked the head to make sure it wasn't getting low compression a d honed out the cylinder even and nothing. Hi everyone and anyone..Im having more issues with my 2 stroke bicycle engine. When I pull the chain over the clutch gear, as the piston inside is pumping up and down, it sounds like a swishing sound is created which sounds like it could be leaking around 1 of the gaskets but cant figure out what the problem is. So my California Motorbikes "PK80 Wildcat", finally broke down to the point it won't run. It definitely lost most of it's compression. I took the head off to see if there's any piston or ring damage an there isn't, as in none at all that I can see, other than running slightly rich. There's no bad score marks on the bore and the rings seem to have held up too? Where would it have lost compression? I've purchased and tried 3 different carburetors, an upgraded CDI and magnetic coil and nothing helps. While searching on the Internet, I found this forum and a thread about a person with the exact same motor and problem. I finally settled for a Phantom85 v3 kit and I need fresh frame strap it to. I’m looking for a steel framed beach cruiser but I’m running into some problems. Problem One: How do you properly convert a cruiser with coaster brakes into a freewheel? I’ve seen videos of people just gutting the rear wheel and essentially jerry rigging the wheel to spin free.
