The weather that the parkland prairies have been getting has started to cool down but it hasn't seemed to hinder the pike fishing all that much. Water levels have dropped a bit as of late so you will have to go to some of the deeper spots to find the big ones. When heading out to the lakes and looking for the pike some of the main things to think about are where the warmer parts of the lake such as shallows that have been baking in the sun or any of the southern facing bays or quite oppositely if you can't find them in the shallows head to the depths cause they have for the most part moved in ..read more

The Elk and surrounding water have been fishing quite well the past couple of weeks and with decent weather in the forecast, it looks like it is only going to get better. Fishing on the Bow has turned on with the colder weather that we have been having. Currently, the river is running at about 57 CMS and visibility is looking to be pretty damn good. The weather has seemed to have levelled out however if the cold weather persists in the mornings keep an eye out for the BWO's cause they might start popping off. Dry fly fishing seems to be stagnant as of late and employees and customers alike have started to throw a lot more meat and it has started to really pay off for some. With water levels hanging below their average for this time of the year, the fish can s ..read more

Water Levels have definitely been a tough obstacle to work your fishing adventures around this year. And the foreseeable forecast is not in our favor either. Water levels are high almost everywhere you go, and clarity is always questionable depending on the recent rain the area has received. If you are looking to get out but don't feel like trying to tackle high water levels, the lakes are your second best option. Pike fishing has proven to be very productive as of late and customers and staff members alike have been getting out to poke a couple. All lakes have been fishing good in the Parklan ..read more
