If you’ve experienced frustration finding all of Lilian Jackson Braun’s The Cat Who books in order, then you’ve found the right place!
I consider this series featuring a reporter and his two Siamese cats to be one of the original cozy mystery series, spanning from the late 1960s to 2007. Mysteries are solved with a cozy vibe, the very definition of cozy mystery.

I didn’t so much find this book as it was literally handed to me. The author, Mary B. Barbee, is a dear friend of mine and has blessed me over the last year by inviting me to edit all five books currently in the Amish Lantern Mystery Series, including this fifth book, A Blessing in Disguise.

Dog Eat Dog by David Rosenfelt is the latest in the author’s Andy Carpenter series featuring a dog-loving defense attorney and Tara, his sidekick golden retriever.
I can’t remember the exact place I saw one of the books in this series for the first time, probably a mystery book blog, and I had added it to my book wish list on Amazon.  ..read more

Murder at the Mayfair Hotel by C.J. Archer wasn’t even on my To Read list. The first book in the Cleopatra Fox Mysteries series was a complete accidental find for me. And what a sweet surprise!
I know, I know…we’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover. But, in my defense, I didn’t judge this book by its cover; I simply chose thi ..read more

I have so much fun when I dig through Amazon for the upcoming new cozy mystery book releases, and that’s where I found this book. The cover alone grabbed my attention, and the dogs made me smile! The reference to Nashville and the image of an RV near the water, along with the subtitle of “Bucket List” told me this was probably a fun travel ..read more

Muddled Through is the 10th book in Ross’s A Maine Clambake Mystery series, and I have been excitedly awaiting its release! I discovered this series last summer, and as with most series, I went back and started with the first book to see if I wanted to read the entire series.
I did! And I binge read it and then cooled my heels while I wait ..read more

One of my very favorite things to do is to leisurely walk the aisles of the public library, soaking in the book environment, reveling in the presence of kindred spirit book lovers, and seeing ALL.THE.BOOKS that have yet to be read by my eyes. It’s just such a pleasant and peaceful feeling, invoking overwhelming contentment. It is well with ..read more

Death Below Stairs by Jennifer Ashley is the first book in a cozy mystery series that is brand new to me. One of the later books in the series, which has five books currently, was suggested in a book recommendations list I follow from another blog. I thought this series sounded promising, and since I always start with the first book in a s ..read more
