Dears, I recently took charge of reviewing all descriptions of materials (trying to remove duplicates & dummies) on Site Requisitions. I noticed 2 different descriptions: MINERAL INSULATED CABLE, 230 V, 700 °C, 10400 OHM/KM, DUAL, ALLOY 825, Ex e II MINERAL INSULATED CABLE, 230 V, 700 °C, 10400 OHM/KM, DUAL, ALLOY 825, EEx e II According to an electrical engineer, he "supposes" the EEx is a typo error and the Explode protection is only to be Ex, is it correct? I found so many EEx in... Mineral Insulated Cable Ex e II and EEx e II ..read more

Norsork E-001:2016 "System 2 and system 3 cables can be installed on same field tray from branch to single equipment". System 2 is 230VAC cable and system 3 is instrumentation cable. I am trying to figure out how far that branch should be from the equipment in question. From this statement, its seems ambiguous and likely to bring unnecessary discussions late in the project. I would appreciate some guidance if anyone has come across a standard that gives a specific distance... Cable segregation ..read more

Hi, We have been using Hi link Module (HLK-5M05) in the motor controller application for AC to DC conversion. Input voltage is taken from the contactor parallelly. Whenever the contactor is driven, Spike is observed on the output voltage of the HLK-5M05 module which is causing the microcontroller to malfunction (Halt). System will be start working once the controller goes to power on reset Input Voltage (AC): 90V ~ 264V Output Voltage (DC): 5V Output Current: 1A We have replaced... Do we have someone who has worked on this relays who can assist? I have a THYTRONIC XMR-o relay, it has 1 x RS485 & 1 x Ethernet port which can communicate DNP3 or MODBUS. I'm more interested in configuring DNP over ethernet. I have already tried to connect to the ASE2000 protocol test set and I'm not receiving any DNP messages. I also tried DNP over RS485 and to no avail as well. I suspect the problem is with setting up the relay for DNP 3 communication. I am able to ping the relay after... good morning; I am electrical engineer, I have a question about thermal protection of HV motors, concerning the importance of winding temperature detedtors in this protection; anyway in case wherever these detectors are defected can we dispense of them and count upon the electrical protection as [ANSI 49,46,51LR and 66]? [49] thermal overload protection [46] unbalance protection [51LR] locked rotor protection [66] number of starts limitation Best regards ..read more
