Canon Inks GI-50 & GI-70: same or different?
Printer Knowledge

I was just wondering if anyone knows if the above ink refills bottles are the same? My printer takes GI-70s but I'm going to be moving countries and I see that there are only GI-50 bottles for sale where I will be. Canon support on both ends gave me the same stock answer: they are not compatible… although they look the same to me. I just wanted to see if anyone might know from experience if they are the same or different Thanks ..read more

Hello, I am using Dymo LWW 114D08 label printer. MacOS Sonoma. Chrome Browser. I have 2 Macs, in 1 mac, I can use my Dymo printer and choose from 50 paper sizes, in the 2nd Mac, it only has 10. How do I add more paper sizes in Chrome Dymo print settings? I installed a Dymo app in Mac, and it worked, but I don't know how to use it, or even if that is the right app. Could not figure it out in Safari either. Thanks ..read more

MFC-J430W maintenance software needed

I replaced the print head in my MFC-J430W. The service manual says to adjust the inclination angle using the "Brother Maintenance USB Printer driver" and the "incline_mini11.prn" file. I can't find these anywhere and Brother denies customer access to these. There's about 10 other *.prn files in the manual for adjusting different parts of the printer. Does anyone have this software or know where it can be found ..read more

Hello, I currently have an offer for a brand new Calibrite Studio for 350 € and an offer for a used Colormunki Photo for 110 € and a used X-Rite i1 Pro for 90 €. I assume that the first two are technically more or less identical except for the branding and some minor design changes. Is there any relevant decay of spectrometers that would justify the purchase of a new device ..read more

Epson ET-4850 - Latest Drive Issues

I purchased this printer a few months ago and had issues initially where it would not print if I was not connected to the same 2.4 band. I talked to support and worked through a couple of things and it worked. regardless of whether my PC was on the 2.4 or 5 Ghz band. Fast forward to yesterday and it quit printing and just came up with an error every time I printed. I ended up restoring factory defaults and reloading the driver on my PC and once again it worked fine. Later in the day it... Read more ..read more

Why is Epson image quality distinctly inferior to HP?
Printer Knowledge

I have compared 2 brand-new out-of-the-box printers, and am surprised at the degree of difference. The two are HP 7740, and Epson WF-7820. Original 'setup' cartridges. The paper is a Hammermill 20#, 96 Brightness. 300 dpi. The original image (300 ppi) is shown above the printed results shown side-by-side, in the attached Original Image, above scan of HP 7740 print beside Epson WF-7820 print.pdf. The printouts were scanned, 300 ppi, side-by-side on the Epson 11x17" flatbed. I... Read more ..read more

Clearing ip7250's print queue using iPad?
Printer Knowledge

Hi again Friend I helped before with ip7250 is saying it will not print. I have not seen the fault yet, but she told me, "I need to clear the print queue, but the suggestions I've seen all require access to a computer - which I don't have - I only have an iPad". Would print queue be clearable using only the iPad and/or pressing of buttons on the printer, or would I need to bring it home with me so I can use my laptop to apply fixes ..read more
