Hi, I am a material engineer and have a question about a formula derivation relative to microwave absorption. I really cannot figure it out after days of trying. This should be simple for a specialist.
In this attached paper, how could one derive Eq(10) based on Eq (8) and (9)? Is k_2 in Eq...

Hi I have some questions about the following:
1. It is an FFT spectrum analysis output from the Sigview software. First. The large peak at 60Hz is AC interference on air (maybe capacitive coupling) as the amplifier is completely battery operated. How come there are no 120 Hz...

Hi everyone, I am currently trying to simulate an electric plasma arc (tip to tip configuration), same as the one shown in the picture here, I made the vacuum region such as it is 50% from the sides, and touches the current in and out region
However when I run the analysis, I am getting the...

How electric distributers achieve equal phases load, is this done by itself?
Unequal situation hapend only in failure ?
That depend on load, not source, but they cant control load.. so how ..read more

I want to buy a car/motorcycle battery charger because it's a very convenient thing to have.
Also, for a while, I have wanted to have a simple power source like shown.
How safe is it to use it to charge lead-acid batteries from cars or motorcycles? I know the...

Hey Hello everyone, I am now doing an internship and one of my task is to research if we can save costs on the ovens they are now producing. They want to reduce the components on the groundbase. I have found a solution of a apply a Steinmetz circuit. I have tested this and it worked all right...

In conductive media like seawater, EM waves experience attenuation related to their frequency. The skin depth formula calculates the depth at which ##e^{-1}## attenuation is reached. The skin depth is inversely proportional to frequency.
In practical terms, only extremely low frequencies (eg 80...

You write to wrong person, you and moderator of PF can send a email to scientists in WHO/International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and ask them why they make...
