Enhanced detection of extraprostatic extension on prostate MRI using AI

This retrospective study suggests AI can help determine the quality of prostate MRI that could potentially allow more informed decisions about the diagnostic quality of the study. In MRIs with a concern of Extraprostatic Extension, only 41% of those were confirmed EPE during surgery. AI evaluated the diagnostic quality of the images, the diagnostic scans (vs those deemed non-diagnostic) found higher specificity (73% vs 63%) and lower false positive rates (21% vs 28%) for EPE. I hope to see improvements in both AI’s ability to quantify higher PIRADS lesions as well as MRI technology to account ..read more

My right testicle rotated 180 degrees in my sleep years ago and a urologist claimed that it’s fine but I’d like to flip it back

One morning when I was 15 my right testicle was feeling weird and I then discovered that it appears to be the wrong way around. The left one had its cord attaching at the back, the right one now had the cord at the front. I knew that this was called testicular torsion and it should cause excruciating pain but I didn’t really feel much discomfort. I figured that maybe 180 degrees isn’t enough torsion to cause problems and decided to wait and see if it’ll flip back on its own, or if I’ll start to feel pain. Neither ever happened and I eventually dared to tell my parents. They booked an appointm ..read more

How can I reverse the damage "Man1 Man Oil" moisturizer has done?

So I bought a skin moisturizer for penile health called "Man1 Man Oil" (you can see the ingredients online), and I was an idiot for not reading the application instructions (even though the print is pretty small) and for 2 weeks (more or less) I was applying considerably more than necessary. I had been putting off trying to resolve the issue of some penile tearing I have had for last year maybe year and a half that was also caused by something stupid I did then. So since I was adamant about finally getting around to resolving this problem, and since this product was marketed as "safe" for pen ..read more

Let me start this off by saying that my surgery was over 2 months ago. The surgery itself went great, no complications, no pain, and I was able to go home and continue working without any issues immediately after the surgery. My surgeon told me no masturbation or sexual activity for at least 6 weeks following the surgery. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago, and I attempted to masturbate for the first time after my surgery, and was met with a very painful experience and some blood. I went to the hospital, and the doctor had told me it was nothing serious, just a very small tear. I was told to wash it ..read more

I have penile Mondor's disease but my urologist said

I didn't. But I'm totally sure I do... One day I woke up after prolonged masturbation and my penis was messed up. The dorsal vein was sticking out and looked blocked and lumpy, lots of new veins had appeared and my penis is lumpy and dark.... It looks just like it does online but the urologist said it was fine. I know my body, I'm worried that because it's rare it will simply be dismissed. What are my next steps? I would like to see someone who's an expert in this disease in the UK and hopefully get a proper diagnosis whatever the cost. What's the best way to do this? My only channels are thr ..read more
