Season 2 will start next week, on the 12th of September, but no specifics for exactly when Ripto will be available to play as have been released yet. Despite a full relaunch just over a year ago Skylanders Ring of Heroes has unfortunately reached the end of its life and is about to be shut down. Announced earlier today via an in-game banner, the game is due to cease all operation on the 28th of Februrary 2022 and has already switched off all in-app purchases. A new update has landed for the mobile game Skylanders Ring of Heroes that has added a brand new set of high level content and a new Legendary Water Defense Skylander Thumpback. The "Black Dimension" is unlocked for players who have beaten the existing campaign on Hard mode and sees you face off against increasingly powerful "Shadow" versions of the bosses to earn a new type of evolution currency. Today's update to the mobile game Skylanders Ring of Heroes brought with it the Swap Force character Free Ranger as a legendary rarity, attack type Skylander and a new Guild Battle feature to give guilds something to do together. Guild Battles see you placing teams of Skylanders to defend your guild's base from another guild's attacks while you also attack their teams in an attempt to destroy their base. Today's update for Skylanders: Ring of Heroes added two new Skylanders: Smash Hit from SuperChargers and Scratch from Swap Force. Smash Hit is presented as a Legendary Skylander who specialises in Area of Effect attacks and Scratch is a Heroic Skylander who attacks multiple times. Just in time for Christmas, Skylanders: Ring of Heroes has released an update today that adds a couple of "new" Skylanders, Mysticat and Chopscotch, and the fourth Portal Master, Ryeo. And there's also a new Christmas themed wheel spinning event running for the new two weeks.
