We took our kids to our happy place last week and it was magical. Over the weekend I escaped to Scottsdale with two of my close girlfriends for a little mamas getaway. We spent Labor Day in Martha’s Vineyard with Eric’s family and it was every bit as picturesque and beautiful as I had imagined. For Christmas I gave Eric a night away without the kids at the Commodore Perry. It’s a beautiful mansion-turned-hotel that opened up this year in Austin. Santa Barbara is officially one of our favorite places and the second most beautiful place I’ve been to other than Lucerne, Switzerland. Eric and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary in Portland, Oregon this year! Our first couples trip since having kids was a success!
