The dates for Tour du Canada 2024 have been set. They will be June 19 to August 30. Riders arrive in Vancouver on June 19. There will be a zoom orientation meeting a week before the ride. The final riding day into St. John’s is August 30. There will again be a Mile Zero option for those wishing to start on Vancouver Island. For those wishing to participate in the Mile Zero option you need to arrive in Vancouver on June 17. The fees for 2024 have been announced. July 4, 1952 – February 26, 2022 As many of our friends know we recently lost an exceptional friend of Tour du Canada. Alan Medcalf died on February 26 after living with ALS for a number of years. Alan completed the Tour du Canada in 2000 and served as a Director of the national cycling club Tour du Canada for 15 years. September 3, 2021. Tour du Canada cyclists have arrived safely in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Tour du Canada 2020/2021 is now complete. Congratulations to all the riders who participated. It was an especially challenging year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. International borders were closed into Canada and as a result the group was made up entirely of Canadians. All riders were fully vaccinated and complied with the health requirements for entering and travelling in all 10 provinces. Participants in Tour du Canada have a full protocol on how to conduct themselves during the ride.
