Hazard has failed to make an impact for Madrid following his £88.5 million moves from Chelsea in 2019. The Belgium international has been hampered by injuries throughout his time in the Spanish capital and has started just four of Madrid’s 12 games in La Liga this season. Hazard has been linked with a return to Chelsea, as well as a move to Newcastle United in the January transfer window, but Martinez has urged Madrid to stand by the player. ‘Hazard is medically in his best moment since he arrived at Real Madrid,’ Martinez said on COPE’s show El Partidazo ‘He is sad in football terms, this is ..read more

Dani Alves was cheered by a crowd of more than 10,000 as he was introduced to Barcelona fans again on Wednesday. Stepping barefoot onto the field at Camp Nou Stadium, Alves said he insisted on returning to help put the Catalan club back on track. The 38-year-old Brazil defender said he will be ready to fight for a starting spot when he is eligible to play in January “I come to compete, not just to spend time and live in Barcelona,” Alves said. “I come to play and to fight for a spot on the team. I’m not back just because I have a very good relationship with the coach or the president. With ha ..read more

Problems for Paris Saint-Germain?

Mbappe made it clear to PSG that he wanted to leave. Real Madrid made it clear they wanted him, too, and were willing to spend a massive transfer fee to get him as opposed to waiting one year to sign him for free. Yet PSG rejected a reported 200 million euro bid, as they never responded back to Los Blancos. Already, though, there appears to be one prospect who is uninterested in playing along with the club. Though others before him – such as Neymar, Adrien Rabiot, and Marco Verratti – have tried to orchestrate moves earlier in their career to no avail, Xavi Simons has a key advantage. Like Mb ..read more

Real Madrid is closely tracking River Plate striker Julian Alvarez and could make a move for the 21-year-old if he keeps up the form he has shown so far this season. Alvarez has scored 15 goals and provided six assists for River in 16 games to this point, and curiously he had a brief spell in Los Blancos' academy as a child. "He spent a month in Madrid. He made such a difference playing here that they came to see him from everywhere," Claudio Gorgerino, the mayor of Calchin, Alvarez's hometown, told Infobae. "He would overpower his opponents. He'd go left or right and get into the box." Unfor ..read more

Kroos and Löw both retired from the German national team after their exit at the EURO 2020 in July. Kroos spent over 10 years and made over 100 appearances with t ..read more

A brace from Brazilian speedster Vinicius made sure Los Blancos get the better of 10-men Elche. Real Madrid came into this match after a mediocre goalless draw against Osasuna. Dropping points against relatively lower teams had become a major problem for The Merengues in recent weeks. For this game Ancelotti chose to do a bit of rotation, leaving Karim Benzema out of the matchday squad to give him a well-deserved weekend of rest. The lineup for th ..read more

Elche are set to play Real Madrid at the Estadio Martínez Valero on Saturday in La Liga. Real Madrid, come into this fixture after a mediocre 0-0 draw against Osasuna. Osasuna didn't register a single shot on target, yet figured out how to prevent Real Madrid from scoring.
