Visma | Lease a Bike dominated the ‘opening weekend’, winning the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne. Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne Race Report: No surprise: Wout van Aert won the second race of the ‘opening weekend’ – Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne. Visma | Lease a Bike dominated the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne for a double weekend of success. Van Aert, Tim Wellens and Spanish champion, Oier Lazkano, fought for the victory, for Van Aert to put the cream on the Visma cake. Wout van Aert has taken his first Classic victory of the 2024 season. Omloop Het Nieuwsblad Race Report: After a day of cat-and-mouse, with Visma ! Lease a Bike sending riders up the road, the first BIG Classic of 2024 went to the Dutch team, but not who we expected. It was Jan Tratnik who out-sprinted Nils Politt (UAE Team Emirates) after a late break. Wout van Aert was third at the head of the chasers. Jan Tratnik won the 2024 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
