I have recently replaced the swept back front axle, bush and pin as well as new tie rod ends and on the RH Radius Rod installed an aluminum cap washer to take up wear on the ball joint. The tractor now does not want to negotiate bends when turning and front wheels drift outwards whilst rear wheels dig in and churn up the ground. The tie rods have been set at equal lengths and tyre pressures set at same 2.5 bar. The tractor is unsafe to drive in this condition and I cannot afford not having... Hi All I have an MF231 with the Perkins 3.152, the tractor and engine were made in Poland. I'm trying to find new thrust washers for the crankshaft, but when these engines were made under license in Poland, they changed the dimensions of the rear pair of washers. Proving very difficult to find, does anyone have any information on where to find a set, or maybe a set from another engine that will fit? Hey all. I have 1979 MF255 with the Perkins A236 Diesel. Lately, after it has about an hour to warm up, it just dies and won't restart until I do an air bleed at the injector pump. Installed new clutch kit in Massey 35 dual clutch. Once together I found the pedal was extremely hard to push down. I adjusted the free play and secondary pressure plate adjustment bolts(supposed to be a 0.09", were way off at 0.035) now the pedal goes down fine but PTO won’t disengage ..read more

I have a 165 MF with the Perkins diesel engine lately it will run for around 30 minutes are so then it will suddenly stop running and is very hard to start back some times ether does it some times not. It is in the field as I write this. Does the injector pump just stop injecting at once went it goes bad or is this a sign that it is the injector pump, or fuel pump? this tractor has the selector valve mounted on the seat support on the right side from front of tractor the valve is fed by factory hard tubing from side pto cover the problem I have is two fold. the 3 point lift arms come up normally when tractor is idling, but drop back down when engine speed is increased. also i'm not clear on how the selector valve works. it seems to allow the loader to be raised in one position and lowered in the opposite this is forward position or back position the... massey ferguso 270 with 236 loader ..read more
