hello i am from Washington, im 18 years old. i am looking at getting a john deere 710. the man ants $500 for it, he says the tires are old and shot, the head is rebuilt, not installed and he says there is some pitting in the liners. i was wondering what motor these have and if i should take on this project. aka are parts avaiable. im worried the ip is shot from sitting and im thinking injectors ight be shot too. are overhaul kits avaiable? thanks for your time! I have a 4440 quad range. It started out overheating so I changed everything and went thru the radiator, water pump, head, thermostats, hoses, belts. Literally everything but still clumps up to 220 deg. I also started hearing a noise in the pto area. It's a whining not high pitch. Can this cause my tractor to overheat? Hiding behind this cheesy front end loader is a four cylinder, gas powered, six speed John Deere tractor. Would anyone have an idea what the model series is? Perhaps what vintage? I've repacked the bucket cylinders, all the lines have been replaced. Sometimes, the lift and dump work fine, but most often slow, and the lines chatter and shake. It's as if the pump is unloading. Hit a stump or log bushhogging. The draft control will normally raise the bushhog when it hits something (feels resistance), I also raised the lever to elevate it slightly. Apparently the draft control raised it up into the full up position, but it will not go back down. Tried leaving it sit overnight, it did bleed down slightly, but as soon as I turned the tracctor on, it went back to the full "up" position. Hi I need help hopefully someone has experience in this problem. Tractor was starting fine . I parked it under cover . Went to start it a week or so later it’s not trying to turn over. I messed up and bought a new 5100E cab tractor. I have owned it maybe 4 months . The A/C is inadequate I have had service come out no problem found . I used it 3 hrs yesterday 2:30 to 5:30 mowing light weeds . It was 101 degrees outside it was 98 degrees inside yes like an oven service finds no problem . I am P.O.ed to the max. I have a John Deere 316 mower that the hydraulics don’t seem to be working on. I can’t turn the wheels or go forward or reverse.
