Member George Bock is sending me his X595 Cluster for me to try and repair. He had it at a 'shop' that was able to get the lights to work but had no luck with the gauges. It looks like it has a Fuel Gauge and a Temperature Gauge. I have no idea yet what the circuit board looks like. I know it has a 20-pin connector, might anyone have a pin-out of that connector. Today, on the 425 that's new to me, I tried using 16oz of slime to stop a leak in a front tire but got no joy. It's likely a rim leak but didn't care to check for that. I'm getting new front tires in a week or so anyway. Next on the bummer list is much more expensive. I was cleaning dried bird droppings off the gauge cluster glass a little too aggressively and poked my finger through the glass. Never thought the glass was that thin and weak. No cuts, just bummed. John deer 318 from 1988ish won't start. Changed spark plugs (ngk tr5), replaced battery, pumped and refilled gas. Dash lights come on and sounds like it's cranking but won't start. I guess it's been a day or two since I was last here. Life passes quickly sometimes. I still run the 318 as a beast but it's been showing it's over use along with my somewhat lax amount of TLC (understatement!). My PTO came off during mowing and top & bottom portions of the PTO got separated. Also lost the bolt & washer which is used to attach PTO to crank shaft. I was able to assemble the PTO, but the D drive is not going into the PTO after aligning them (see pics). Should I slowly tap it using a rubber mallet ..read more

Hello all, I'll try to keep as short as possible with trying to provide necessary details and info. Problem started a couple months ago where it would only start with the throttle lever all the way forward, and it would start but run at low rpms for 30 seconds or so (no throttle response) until the throttle responded and rpms came up to fast idle. I picked up a GT235 (B & S engine) 4 days ago and everything seem to be fine except for the following: 1) Some times, when I turn on ignition it is dead silence - no cranking! But, then it cranks and no issue. This happens when I do it first time in the morning 2) When I switch off ignition, it does not kill the engine - engine keeps running.
