I have the Simpson 3600psi, 2.5 gpm, gx200 Honda with the triplex pump. What would cause the machine to heat the water noticeably? I have a 50' pipe jet attachment that I was using on some 4" stormline recently. As I was dragging the debris back, the water was warm. Started to actually steam at a couple points. Cold water input, underground storm sewer (no heat source), machine running normally. Is this normal and I just never noticed? I've had the washer a few years, used a dozen times... Dirt in Inlet, Now NO Pressure

Hi. Newbie here. Not a commercial washer. I have a 2700 psi blackmax. While moving it, One of the wheels broke off and I didn't notice I got dirt in the inlet. I hooked up the hose and it turned on fine but no pressure. I undid the hose and saw gravel in it. Long story short after disassembling the whole bottom pump (several times) and cleaning all the cavities from debris (As best I could). I put it back together and still no pressure! I wonder if I got dirt behind the check valve ball... Dirt in Inlet, Now NO Pressure ..read more

First off, I realize that this question has probably been asked frequently. I am asking now so as to address my specific circumstances. Here is my goal: To be prepared to do basic PW jobs such as driveways, walkways etc. I eventually want to upgrade to a full exterior washing rig, but as of now I am going to be limited to using my Prius as a work vehicle. (Yes, seriously) : ) I actually think it could work: I have the hatchback for storing the PW and a surface cleaner. A trailer hitch with... Is soft washing better?

We have been pressure cleaning for years and have great results. I see these new companies coming around offering soft-washing as a safer and better alternative to pressure washing. Does it provide better results as these companies say? It looks to me like it is just dumping a whole bunch of chemicals onto the house and rinsing it with a hose. Any insight would be great ..read more

Best pump for a Honda GX200

I have an extra Honda GX200 on my rack and decided to bolt on a pump and give it to my inlaws who are in need of a pressure washer. What do you all think would be the best combination of PSI and GPM that the GX200 can power? I don't want to drop the cash on a CAT since my inlaws will only use it at their home. I've never heard of OEM pumps and I don't know much about AAA pumps other than that they are made the same company that owns the Simpson pressure washer company. All my AR pumps...
