A podcast about comic books and their adaptations hosted by a guy who reads too many comics and one who doesn't read enough. Each episode Ian and Iain discuss one adaptation in relation to the comics that inspired it, in an ongoing effort to get Iain (and maybe some of you) to read more comics.

Ian and Iain assemble their thoughts on The Avengers (2012) also known as Marvel's Avengers Assemble in the UK (to avoid confusion with a TV series from the 1960's that they thought people assume was showing at cinemas for some reason). To accompany it, they're reading The Ultimates by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch, so Ian can prove, once and for all, how little of the MCU is taken from those comics. Also WHYBUTL? returns for some brief discussion about the Planet of the Apes series, Spiderhead, Bohemian Rhapsody, Reading Festival, KAPOW! Wrestling and Nope.

They're discussing their favourite and least favourite movies and comics from the show's past year, seeing what lessons they may have accidentally learned and doling out the highly anticipated Become the Teapot awards!
As if that wasn't enough, there's a round up of all the news from D23 before they and their guests give their thoughts on Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Moon Knight, Ms Marvel, She-Hulk, The Batman, The Umbre ..read more

Ian and Iain double down for their 50th Episode by watching both Superman: The Movie (1978) and Man of Steel (2013). It's Reeve v Cavill: Dawn of Truth, Justice and the American Way, but who will emerge as the true Man of Tomorrow?
To accompany the movies, they're also reading two separate origins, with both John Byrne's The Man of Steel limited series and also the 1938 original Action Comics #1 and 1939's Superman #1, the oldest comics they've ever covered.

Ian and Iain watch Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and compare it to the comic of the same name by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. They say manners maketh man, but can man maketh good movie? Will the Millarisms get to Ian, like they did with Wanted? and how do The Golden Circle and The King's Man stack up? All of these questions and more may or may not be answered within!

Ian and Iain discuss Thor: Ragnarok (2017) in a desperate attempt to appear up-to-date whilst watching things that literally came out years ago. To accompany the previous Thor film (in preparation for the upcoming Thor film) we’re reading Planet Hulk by Greg Pak and Carlo Pagulayan, a comic in which Thor barely appears. Nailed it!

Ian and Iain prepare for the return of The Boys to Amazon Prime by revisiting the first season of the show, along with the first fourteen issues of the comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. Together they break-down the characters, discuss revisiting TV shows and also talk The Boys Presents: Diabolical, complete with quasi-Australian/Cockney accents that'd make Dick Van Dyke proud,
