After many years and 10k miles, it’s time to say goodbye to my beloved Husqvarna TE450, and I’m fortunate enough to be able to get a brand new KTM 500 EXC-F for a steal. I’ve got all the regular upgrades in mind, like a comfier seat, handguards, suspension fitted to my weight, 3 gallon tank, aluminum skid plate, etc. I’d love to hear what other little bits are a “must have” for this bike. For example, a buddy mentioned an ignition key relocate. I’d also like to get rid of the stock fender for something much more compact, so any recs there would be great!
Also would love to hear about any know ..read more

I bought the bike used. Does anyone know what panniers this mount was used for. They didn’t come with the bike. Thanks.

I'm leaning towards either a DR 650 or an XR650L, I probably won't be doing much hard singletrack but more like a 60% on-road bias (trails of any difficulty are at least a 45 minute ride from my place). I like the simplicity of the bikes I'm looking at, I'm 5'9, 30" inseam, 200lb. I've been riding Harleys for the last decade or so, the weight of either bike doesn't really bother me. I haven't ridden off-road since I was a teenager, I'm in my mid forties now. The Honda seems like a beast, while the Suzuki seems a bit more well mannered, and both sound perfectly capable of what I'll be asking o ..read more

Considering buying myself an Africa Twin. I'm 5'7 with a 31" inseam. I have ridden tall bikes in the past, used to own a DRZ 400 with the tall seat concepts seat, and currently ride another DRZ with the stock seat. They're tall for me but very manageable due to being light. I have no problems swinging my leg over and flat footing one side. But, the AT being so heavy is a bit intimidating. Normal city riding and stops and goes are easy enough, but...
Any tips for parking on a steeper/sloped incline where my foot won't quite reach the ground? And, any tips for getting the bike back up straight ..read more

1990 dr350, starts up and runs great, just again paranoid about the sounds this engine is making. Last time i posted my concern (facebook or here on reddit) people said that these old tractor sounds are normal.
From the video i took i can hear two distinct different types of ticking. One of which is the higher pitch sound that is most likely just the valves, and another is lower sounding and you can hear it moving towards the bottom of the engine. I do have a manual cam chain tensioner in the bike that was installed by the previous owner that I’m wondering might be the issue.
