OK, so reading about motorcycling is somewhat analogous Frank Zappa's famous dictum that "writing about music is like dancing about architecture". But that does not make reading about motorcycling a waste of time - quite the opposite, it can be inspiring and informative. I was reminded of this by a recent event which brought back to mind the book 'Riding The Continent'. The book chronicles a motorcycle trip across the USA in 1915 by naturalist and writer, Hamilton Mack Laing, edited into...

“Welcome to the Bike Drags Party” at Mission Springs Brewing Company on Fri, Aug. 20th from 4-10pm.
It is an invitation to come out and hang with some of the racers and check out their bikes on display.
Mission Springs has awesome food and awesome in-house brews. They are located fairly close to the track at 7160 Oliver Street just off Lougheed Highway.
Kids are welcome, as they have a 425-seat family restaurant and a 120-seat pub. www.missionspringsbrewingcompany.com.

Looking for dirt biking areas and trail riding spots and ones that are lower in elevation to avoid the snow.
Pretty well the only ones I've been to are enroute to Squamish or out at Tamihi. I suppose I could log back onto DSBC and look around, I thought I'd ask here first.
Since we will be on a KLR650, and XR650L and XR650R ........ maybe super tight, root covered trails aren't the best this early in the season.
Any suggestions welcome ..read more
