After a long year of unknown, this was our first wedding coming back to the 2021 wedding season. Finally! First wedding of 2020 and after everything that we all have been through, it feels extra special to share these photos. We are still not in clear so its important to follow the guidelines and Hyatt did it so well! The tables at the reception were spaced out 6 feet, there were plenty hand sanitizing station, and masks were worn by all the staff. Around here, we’re always trying to one-up ourselves when it comes to birthday parties. COVID-19 definitely threw a curve ball at us this year, but it didn’t stop us from decorating and celebrating Rory’s First Birthday! We had a theme, we sang “Happy Birthday”, we had a cake, he smashed the cake. While we couldn’t gather everyone at our house, we gathered everyone on Zoom to sing to Rory, and then everyone enjoyed the “cake smash” show from the best seat in their house. Let us start with a confession: we took our kids out of school! Our Florida vacation didn’t align with the school vacation, and we are totally okay with it. Especially after looking at the price different on tickets, we decided that it was fine while they’re little. So… off we went to spend a week with Grammy and Papa.
