The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the voice of the global accountancy profession, announces that Helen Partridge has been named Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1, 2023.
Ms. Partridge, who joined IFAC in 2020, assumes leadership for IFAC’s finance team and financial activities, including accounting, financial strategy, planning and analysis, and tax. The International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) and International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) welcome the report released today by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) on developing a global assurance framework for sustainability-related corporate reporting. The IOSCO report reflects extensive research and feedback from key stakeholders. The International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) witnessed an auspicious start to its March Board meeting with the announcement from the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA), host of the 5-day meeting, that it has adopted the 2022 edition of the IESBA International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (including International Independence Standards). The Code will be applicable to all entities subject to ADAA’s mandate for audits of financial statements for periods beginning on or after December 15, 2023.
