I am having 10 custom "books" made that are hollow inside, and wrapped in a fancy tan or natural colored jute. It isn't as porous as burlap, but it isn't thin silk cotton either by any means. I need to put a logo on the front, 1 color, black, but there are some thin, crisp narrow elements to the design/text. Obviously not ideal for jute. What do you guys think, silk screen, or heat transfer, onto the books?
Thanks!

What are your guys experience with Gildan Soft Style blanks? They feel pretty good and I like the look, but I've read that they warp/misshape and don't hold up to washings. Anyone personally wear these shirts or have customers that use them for printing? What do you/they think of them?

Recently I've been looking at Mark Rothko. He was a 20th century artist that had a huge sense of space and colour. Some of his works are here:

His work has appeared on T-Shirts. I'm not sure if it's public domain or not, or how to get the rights.

I think this shop might be using heat transfer from a jpg. We'd like to get a similar effect using screen printing. Huge blocks of colour with faded edges. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I'd like to get some work shirts made, but I'd like to provide the shirts to avoid any sizing issues.
Would this ever be an issue?

I've been researching for about 6 months on what kits to get and supplies and what not. I'm at the point where for Christmas I'm getting a kit from Ryonet. I'm a graphic design teacher and am doing all the research to get screen printing to our department. I figured I'd do it at home too.
One thing I don't think has been explained very well in my research is Seperation and Rip software you would use to print the film. Do you need a special printer? If so, is there a reasonably priced one or two you'd recommend? Is there a way to get away with not spending $500 bucks on Accurip? Or is it bette ..read more
