I bought a hat clamp, cheap. I used it with very minimal and inconsistent results. The clamp came without instructions on how to assemble or use. I had to search the internet for assistance and piece things together from a poor video here or an image there. So far, it seems that the hats are too stiff to lie flat and get a good print. Hi, I'm completely new to making my own screens (although not new to screen printing). I've purchased a Chinese vacuum LED exposure unit, and some Ulano Proclaim EC emulsion. Maybe this was a terrible idea, I don't know. I don't have much info on the exposure unit. It's just big enough to do a 20x24 screen, has 160 UV LEDs in it, as 8 rows of 20 LEDs at (apparently) 10W each row. No idea what wavelength light they give off. Hello everyone, I'm new here and have a quick question on printing on 1/2" thick pvc sheet material (Komacel) I'm screening on two table tops for my saw table I manufacture and most of the screen works but after 3 or 4 times a few of my numbers won't print or little ink goes thru. I'm using Nazdar system 2 series vinyl black ink on white surface. Seems odd that everything else prints alright. Just in case anyone else stumbles across this thread with the same issue, I figured it out. Every video I saw tells you to flood the screen between prints. Maybe it's this Speedball Ink or it's just bad advice all together but when I stopped flooding the screen, it worked out great and my ink never dried to the screen.
