Functioning as the Tennis Manager for the Saville Community Sports Centre, Russ has spearheaded the continued growth and success of the University of Alberta’s tennis program, the creation of Saville’s junior development and adult programming in addition to successfully creating a welcoming and inclusive environment which has continually served the tennis community with distinction.

The 2024 Indoor Fischer Juniors Nationals are scheduled for the following dates:
U12 Fischer Nationals: March 23-29, (Calgary, Alberta)
U14 Fischer Nationals: April 1-7, (Vancouver, British Columbia)
U16 Fischer Nationals: March 22-29, (Montreal, Quebec)
U18 Fischer Nationals: March 30-April 6, (Toronto, Ontario)
Tennis Alberta will be selecting athletes for Junior Nationals based on the rankings updated on March 12, 2024. Tennis Alberta will be notifying athletes shortly there after.

Edmonton is celebrating the opening of the Saville Tennis Centre, which includes six new year-round tennis courts. Players and Player Parties are encouraged to review the following changes made to Tournament Entry for the 2023-24 Indoor Season.
ENTRY DEADLINE: The entry deadline for all tournaments is 12 NOON the FRIDAY PRIOR to the event.
DRAWS & SCHEDULES: Tournament draws are completed MONDAY prior to the event. Tournament schedules are released circa TUESDAY evening.
The updated Tournament Guidelines outlines what players can expect leading up to, during and after the tournament.

Tennis Alberta is pleased to welcome KJ Read as Manager of Tournaments and Competitive Structure, effective September 1, 2023. In this role, KJ will oversee Tennis Alberta’s Junior Competitive Structure, and organize and support member clubs hosting all Tennis Alberta Sanctioned events.
In addition to this role, KJ will continue as an Officiating Representative in Alberta, acting as an officiating resource and liaison between the Tennis Canada Officiating Department, Tennis Alberta, and officials working in Alberta.

This schedule includes Adult, U9/U10 Circuit, and Junior National Pathway, Provincial Pathway, and Club Pathway tournaments.
