As we say goodbye to the month of August it hits us hard that Summer and all its wonderful seasonal harvest will be gone soon. So we are saying goodbye to the warm weather by indulging in the naturally sweet flavors of fresh fruit. This Watermelon Feta Salad is a staple summertime dish which allows for many variations. We used seedless cucumber in this batch to bulk up servings for a large group. You can also adapt the recipe to more of its Greek roots with fresh sliced red onion for a bit of heat, we recommend when not serving to children. What’s most important for this recipe if the quality ..read more

It can be easy to forget how during these challenging times there can still be a silver lining! We certainly find delicious bagels and starting a small business a silver lining during a pandemic. A simple love for bagels turned into a business and more importantly a way to raise money for charities most impacted by the pandemic. One post in a Northern Liberties Neighborhood Facebook page soon brought a flood of orders for Kismet bagels and donations from individu ..read more

Last weekend we took a little drive to visit Narberth and visit Royal Café at the corner of Montgomery Avenue and Woodbine Road. Opened in June 2020 the restaurant derives its name from the former Royal Bank building, which was most recently Café Lift. We enjoyed lots of sunny outdoor seating and additional indoor seating to be added. We took a peak inside to witness the whimsical artwork by local muralist Zeve Cohen and the new wood-fired brick oven imported from Italy.
