Love stories are often filled with unexpected twists and turns, and sometimes even a little bit of chaos. Such was the case for Nicki and Devon, a courageous couple whose love blossomed amidst their shared commitment to serving their country in the Army. Their wedding day at the enchanting Shadow Creek in Purcellville, Virginia, was an occasion to remember, with a surprising twist that brought the entire celebration to a standstill but not for long, even the power outage couldn't dampen the spirit of love and resilience.

Yes, this pine forest is actually in Manassas, Virginia! This magical forest with its super tall and skinny pines is a pretty rare find in the middle of northern Virginia. During COVID we were challenged by a client to find a pine forest close to Fairfax. My Mom was coping with the quarantine by taking daily walks in the area so after doing a little research on google earth I sent her to this area to scout it out and after several attempts she finally found this spot for us. This area is perfect for private sessions or even elopements. It has the Georgia pine vibe with minimal travel. We love ..read more

We absolutely adored this sweet baby boy and soon to be big brother! We shot this family’s maternity session at Raven’s Roost Overlook in Lyndhurst, Virginia inside Shenandoah National Park. This overlook is steps from the parking lot making it THE BEST place for epic maternity photos with ZERO HIKE. Maternity photos are important for so many reasons, not only to celebrate Mom, all her hard work and beautiful pregnant body, a mere blimp in time she’ll always want to remember but maternity photos are also for your child. When our own son was around 2 years old he started to notice our maternit ..read more

This sweet couple are expecting their first baby! We had the most beautiful sunset at Raven’s Roost Overlook in Shenandoah National Park in Lyndhurst, Virginia but it was WINDY. Before driving up the mountain for this maternity photo shoot it was pretty nice and warm, no wind, but once we arrived the wind was insane and it made it so much colder. This gorgeous Momma BRAVED the cold and wind for her maternity photos, they were both such troopers! We took plenty of jacket breaks and we had hand warmers for safety. We absolutely loved spending time with these two and even though the wind made it ..read more

This is the absolute best part of our job! We photographed this sweet couples wedding day, their maternity session and then we finally got to meet their beautiful baby boy during his newborn session at just 8 days old. His big brothers were such good boys and you can already tell they are huge fans of their newest family member!
Newborn photos are important for several reasons:
Capturing a special moment in time:
Newborn photos are a way to capture the first few days or weeks of a newborn’s life, which is a unique and fleeting time that can never be recaptured. These photos can serve as a r ..read more

On Christmas this year these two were buzzing with excitement because the very next day they had a big secret! These two secretly eloped on December 26th. They planned and kept it a secret from everyone for 2 weeks before the big day. They planned casual dinners with members of their family the following week to reveal their big secret! What a sweet and exciting way to tie the knot!
Milkshake dates at Chick-Fil-A are kinda their thing, so when planning their elopement day we asked them to think about a day that totally described their vibe as a couple, a milkshake stop was on the list. So aft ..read more

We are all about making your wedding day exactly what you want, not worrying about all the pressure from society to do things a certain way. So we absolutely LOVED this hybrid wedding with Kaylyn and Michael in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.
Kaylyn and Michael are both in the Navy, Michael is stationed out to sea around Hawaii and Kaylyn stationed in California. This made it a little tricky to plan their wedding in West Virginia where Michael is from but we were there with them every step of the way to make sure these two had the day they were dreaming of. They knew they wanted to include a hi ..read more
