I have a 18 year old Ingersol Rand Rotary screw compressor with dryer Model number UP6-7.5TAS-125 W/. I have not had one issue with this compressor until a few weeks ago. The compressor runs up to 125 PSI, shuts off as advertised, but air is leaking out through the air intake manifold. Does any one have any experience with Ingersol Rotary screw compessors? I'm hoping someone can help me out here but I think it's a long shot. Does any one have a service manual for this compressor or something close in manufacturer date so I got something to work with for when I have to do work on it. Only info I really know is that it's from 1966 its a Chicago pneumatics air compressor with a continental engine, and the receiver tanks were made by kargard company and the model is 77103 and size is 85 rg-1 . I have a 2003 Craftsman Professional Twin-Cylinder 7 hp 80 gallon 175 psi air compressor. The motor without the belt to the compressor attached will start turning but will kick out the breaker. At my attempt to start the motor - there is a fair amount of noise coming from the motor prior to immediately kicking out the breaker. I can turn the motor over by hand without bad bearing drag. I bought a 30 gallon compressor off Marketplace for 25.00, the guy was asking 200.00. The pictures seemed to be a 60gal the guy said he didn't know anything, about it but it worked. The discharge pipe was off, the wires had been unhooked, the motor and pump turned easily by hand. After putting everything back together, I plugged it in, it ran, but not for long. Further inspection I found discharge pipe clogged. Cleaned pipe and it ran a little longer, but wouldn't buil pressure, one way... What size motor on compressor ..read more

Hi I'm reposting this as I don't think it was clear what I was asking ( could have been the way I put it ) I want to connect 2 compressors to 1 pressure switch setup. If the one on my bigger tank was working it wouldn't be a problem but the switch I want to use is on my small 'hobby' tank. It's a Titan 24L 1.5hp oil free compressor but the switch on it's a weird set up. So i just got a 175 PSI air compressor for a suspiciously good deal, but figured it ran when i saw it so not much could be wrong if any right, well i found out. It just comes on once for like 2 minutes then shots off and won't come back on for another few hours. Did some poking and found both capacitors are the same and clearly neither came with this motor. I've researched online to find what is called an "inverter based" air compressor. Supposedly this kind ramps up speed once you turn it on, instead of drawing full electrical power all at once. If this type of air compressor exists, then it would be really good for people who live off-grid, and need to be careful with electrical appliances that can draw a large load. Hi My wife bought me a small hobby type 24l compressor a while ago which was newly bought , needing to use a air sander I needed more ‘tank’ size and was given a workshop size a 110l size ( I think ) compressor. I used them connected with the bigger tank as just more air space , but I’ve since looked at the motor and compressor motor and found that they work ok but the pressure switch has had it , now to my question. I am in the process of setting up a small at home business doing Cerakote (kinda like paint, but more for spraying firearms ect). This is the compressor I have and how someone I hired set it up. Not sure if he even did it correctly, kinda felt like he was on some drugs or something.
