Thursday, 04 April 2024 13:23 It’s not trash. In healthcare, it’s biohazard waste and it requires careful consideration for safety — both now and long after contents are removed. Minimize liabilities with clearly labeled bags and containers that promote puncture resistance, drug deactivation and environmental awareness. Biohazard and Specimen Bags offer protection against dangerous tears and leaks when handling medical waste. Bags are marked with warning labels and allow users to safely dispose of a variety of toxic materials. They include features such as sterilization indicator patches ..read more

Friday, 22 March 2024 10:44 Student engagement is increasingly complicated for high school teachers trying to manage diverse learning styles and interests, but Rhainy Edwards found a way to crack the code. She brought in an outsider. Edwards, an art teacher at Olentangy High School, invited Doug Clouser, Product Development Manager at Health Care Logistics®, to discuss potential career paths with her students. She recently began integrating technology and 3D printing into her lesson plans and sought to reach a broader scope of students, specifically those who were interested in design, creativ ..read more

Thursday, 15 February 2024 16:04 Not only is Feb. 19 our Grand Poobah’s birthday (happy birthday, Gary!), it’s also Rubber Chicken Day. That’s right, our mascot has its own holiday! It’s no coincidence we chose this day to honor our famous fowl, but the decision to make the rubber chicken our mascot was far less calculated. The idea took off during our early days of catalog production when a rubber chicken went undetected on a crash cart. Customers immediately wanted to know more. We didn’t have a good story to tell, so we created one. Our mascot’s advertising appearances are no long ..read more

Friday, 23 February 2024 13:04 Tablet repackaging and unit dose batching can be complicated and costly. Often, the number of blisters per sheet and labels per sheet don’t match. Or if they do, the labels adhere crooked. Not only do you have to start over, but you must also toss the supplies you already used. We heard your frustrations and created the EZ Grid® system to ensure you consistently achieve precise label-to-blister alignment. Sheets for blisters and labels are designed in 5x5 grids so there are no unused pieces and no waste to discard. Designed around a sturdy aluminum fram ..read more

Friday, 09 February 2024 12:40 There’s a love-hate relationship happening in healthcare and an intervention is long overdue. Your hands love all the attention they get at the sink each day, but you hate the dry, cracked skin you get in return. Hand sanitizing is here to stay, but we can help send the side effects packing. Individually wrapped antimicrobial towelettes are saturated with ethyl alcohol to kill 99.9% of germs, but also contain aloe vera for moisture balance. Store them with kits or inside carts and put your relationship back on the right track. Wipes meet OSHA, APIC and ..read more

Friday, 09 February 2024 12:41 When a Maine-based leadership team received an HCL® Rubber Chicken more than 2 years ago, they did more than put it on a shelf. They gave it a name — Jerry — and made him their “culture king.” He quickly became the star of their Facebook page with legions of faithful fans, but then he flew the coop without so much as a peep. It appears Jerry decided to stay in Ibiza during a European trip with a team member. Once they discovered his disappearance, they reached out to us to deliver the devastating news. Immediately, we sent Jerry 2.0 ..read more
