I kicked off my 2023 season at Olivia and Tyler’s beautiful winter wedding in Lafayette! The jewel-toned florals, the velvet bridesmaid dresses, and Olivia’s epic ball gown with lace sleeves were some of my favorite details. The Old State Capitol in downtown Baton Rouge was a popular choice for bridal sessions this winter! It offers a variety of options both indoors and outdoors – that stained glass! THE GREEN DOOR. The setting was a perfect complement to Alex and her chic Romona Keveza one-shoulder gown. I’ve been lucky enough to photography Emily 3 times now – first when she graduated high school, then college, and now for her engagements with Josh, which just might be my favorite session with her yet! Hilltop Arboretum on Highland Road in Baton Rouge is one of my absolute favorite spots for engagements. I always say it, but the Myrtles is SO underrated! It’s one of my favorite portrait spots in the area, with so much variety on one little property! But honestly, I could have taken Taylor and Justin’s photos on the side of the road and they would have been amazing because these two together are the stars of the show! Rosedown Plantation was the perfect backdrop for this winter engagement session! At a beautiful venue with lush gardens year round like Rosedown, you can’t even tell it’s winter!!
