It was a gloomy January day when we took these bridal portraits, but Erin was SHINING! She embraced the breeziness outside and it made for a seriously stunning gallery. Scroll down and you’ll see what I mean! The Gilmour is one of my all time favorite venues for bridal sessions – indoors, outdoors, you can’t go wrong and the options are endless.
Erin’s bridal look consisted of a stunning Pronovias gown, makeup by Stephanie Hopkins, and hair by Jacquilyn Dame. Her beautiful bouquet was made by Nancy with Events and Design by Nancy.
Erin had lots of ideas and a VISION for her photos and her wedd ..read more

I kicked off my 2023 season at Olivia and Tyler’s beautiful winter wedding in Lafayette! The jewel-toned florals, the velvet bridesmaid dresses, and Olivia’s epic ball gown with lace sleeves were some of my favorite details.
The bride and groom shared an emotional first look, before we took portraits in a nearby field as the sun set in the distance. Then a beautiful white trolley whisked off the couple and wedding party to their ceremony at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. All eyes were on the bride as the doors opened and she came down the aisle with her extra-long, lace-trimmed cathedral ..read more

There’s nothing quite like a Christmas season wedding at St. Mary’s! I’ve photographed many, many weddings here, and it still takes my breath away when I walk in and see the altar adorned in dozens of poinsettias and Christmas trees! Morgan and Dylan’s wedding was no exception. What a perfect day and couple to close out 2022 with ..read more

Today I’m reminiscing on this sunny engagement session from last spring! Laura and Jalen were married in October of last year, and since then we’ve crossed paths at a few more weddings they’ve stood in. Seeing my couples again after their wedding is always such a treat, especially these two who are always so fun and helpful! It’s been over a year since we first met up for these photos but there are still SO many favorites of mine! These two are total naturals in front of the camera ..read more

The Old State Capitol in downtown Baton Rouge was a popular choice for bridal sessions this winter! It offers a variety of options both indoors and outdoors – that stained glass! THE GREEN DOOR. The setting was a perfect complement to Alex and her chic Romona Keveza one-shoulder gown. Alex wanted to channel Megan Markle wedding vibes through her bouquet, and Hummingbird Floral Studio nailed it with the delicate floral arrangement! (It smelled AMAZING too!)
Of course we had to focus on that fabulous bow on Alex’s dress for a few shots…this gown will forever be a favorite! Click here to see Alex ..read more

A venue dripping in greenery and florals, extravagant details, late night Chick-fil-A, a coffee bar, cotton candy, a dance floor showered in streamers to end the night…was there anything Rebeca and Blumes’ wedding didn’t have? Planned and designed by August Events, this downtown Baton Rouge wedding truly had it all.
After getting ready in the Mezzanine Suite of the Hilton Capitol Center, Rebeca prepared to share a first look with Blumes across the street, but not before pranking him with the help of one of his groomsmen. You’ll have to scroll down to see that one! I’d say the second first-loo ..read more

A long lace veil, a fluffy tulle skirt, and epic stained glass backdrops? Caroline made all my photographer dreams come true for her bridal session at the Old State Capitol. I can’t get over how beautiful she is! Make sure you scroll all the way to the end for this one…having a skirt with lots of layers to toss around in the downtown Mississippi River breeze made the most amazing photos!! Movement translates so well in photos, and having a dress that moves well with you on your wedding day is always a good idea!
