Asia & Brian’s Afton Villa Engagements Asia’s vision for her engagement session was a “fairytale,” and she picked the perfect location to capture that vibe. Afton Villa Gardens can feel like you fell into a storybook. The light was absolutely stunning that day and I really leaned in and let it be the main character. Baton Rouge Family Portraits There is absolutely nothing that makes me happier than when my past wedding couples call me back to continue documenting their lives and growing families. After doing Miles’ newborn portraits, I was thrilled to make some portraits to celebrate this cutie’s first birthday. We were able to take these family portraits […] The post Baton Rouge Family Portraits appeared first on Hannah Herpin Creative ..read more

Abby’s New Orleans Senior Portraits

Abby's New Orleans Senior Portraits When I met Abby, I was immediately excited about her style. She looked like she had fallen out of the sky, straight from a 90s film. She looked as cool as I wanted to be, but could never achieve when I was in high school. When we were chatting about what she was looking for in backdrops around New Orleans she said she loved texture and patina and I knew exactly where we should go. Both Race & Religious and the Marigny Opera House ooze character and charm. They both show a weathering that happens while existing in the city and were the perfect setting f ..read more

rip van winkle wedding Rip Van Winkle is super sentimental to Cassie & Maddox since one of their earliest dates was there! I could tell they had gone on many dates there because they had so many spots around the property that had special memories for them and we got to make so many great images at so many of them. I also loved how they went the extra mile to make their Rip Van Winkle wedding day so personal to them. So many little touches come to mind between Cassie’s dad making their ceremony arch; to the Polaroid seating chart with the table names matching places they had traveled toget ..read more

This summertime Il Mercato wedding was a blast to shoot! I was asked to associate this wedding for Mary-Kaitlyn Allen, and let me tell you, it was an absolute honor! Shoutout to Caroline from Iris & Oak Events. She was the real MVP, keeping us on track all day, and working with her was a total joy. Haley and her girls got ready at the most amazing apartment right down the street from Il Mercato making the logistics of the day just super easy! I just want to point out that in this era of the Babie movie, this group of girls nailed their Babie-core looks! Let’s talk flowers – Elle Floral D ..read more

The Pearces are one of those families that come back to me every year and it’s been such a joy to watch the kids and the pup grow over the years. I love that their dog, Violet, is just an extra kid and needs to be photographed the exact same way, headshot and all. I wouldn’t have it any other way! We were able to take these at the John Nickerson House this year and it made for a beautiful location! The post The Pearce Family appeared first on Hannah Herpin Creative ..read more

Sarah & James: A Cajun Wedding

I was super excited when I heard of all the cajun elements being brought into this very sweet and personal affair. Sarah’s family was excited to show James’ family our food and traditions. It started off at the crawfish boil the night before and extended out to the cajun band, the Daiquiri Queens that had the whole dance floor filled all evening. Sarah, her sisters, and her sweet dog Layla got ready in her grandmother’s hair salon that she had grown up in and it was the perfect way to start the day; followed by a Catholic Mass at Our Lady of Fatima, portraits at the Alumni House on UL’s camp ..read more
