The #QatarGP was a cracker, but why do the drivers sook so much?

Formula 1 is in its final two races of the season, and the whinging behaviour of its drivers has finally become too much to bear. Find out which driver lost respect for who over allegations of dobbing, but then turned around and did the same to someone else in the race. We love conflict, but not this epidemic of being sooky la-las? Why can’t they just person-up and race like racers? This is all part of our debrief of the #QatarGP, which Max Verstappen won. Charles Leclerc and Auto Action’s Oscar Piastri were on the podium. Plus, we are preparing for Jack Doohan’s early F1 debut this weekend. T ..read more

It was a huge weekend of Motorsport with the Indy 500, Monaco F1 and the Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte in NASCAR... we cut it all down for you.

On this edition of the Auto Action Rev Limiter, we debrief a massive weekend of Motorsport; we certainly had some massive nights down under. Josef Newgarden won the Indy 500 with a last-lap pass, Christopher Bell won the big NASCAR race, and Charles Le Clerc won a typical Monaco Grand Prix... it may have the glamour, but it doesn't race well. Andrew, Bruce and PG talk about all that and more... like Aussie's winning in F4 and GT3 races and standing on the podium in F2. And then there's the RACE - the owners of Supercars - reporting better financials than the year before. It is all there in thi ..read more

Brodie Kostecki is back! The 2023 Champion has cured his ills with Erebus Motorsport and will be back in the Supercars Championship for Taupo next week. Our fearless crew gets deep into the mire and steps around the Peterwits to discuss what it means for the sport and what it has meant. We chat about the passing of Bev Brock, an icon of the Australian motorsport scene whose loss will be felt by many. Then we talk about the return of boredom to F1 and refuse to talk about the team that won. It's childish, but at least we’re not nasty. All this and the latest news in this edition of The Auto Act ..read more

Bruce, PG and Andrew talk about their three motor racing highlights of the year, and to balance it out… The three lowlights as well, not lowlifes Bruce! There's a bit of Supercars chat with Jaxon Evans confirmed on the grid in the SCT Logistics Camaro, Ludo Lacroix has left the building at DJR and Dr Ryan is back and taking charge again, and we hear Ford is not ready to sign-off on the Gen3 aero package yet…. Maybe some more testing required! And there's GT3 coming out of our ears for the Bathurst 12-Hour and Le Mans 24 Hour Race. And that's it for the year ..read more

The Vailo Adelaide 500 is one of Australia's great sporting events... and one-third of the crew was there. Matt Payne scored his first win, and Cam Waters laid down number 3 for the year as Brodie Kostecki took his first Supercars crown right off the head of the departing Shane van Gisbergen. But what really happened over there? Our crew takes a look before we spend two minutes on Formula One. So if you like your #Supercars and the #ADL500, this is the only place you will get it, warts and all.  Plus we talk Jack Doohan, F4 and Calder Park.    ..read more

Verstappen wins title #4 and we have a big chat about concussion...
The Auto Action RevLimiter

Max Verstappen has been crowned the 2024 World Drivers' Champion after doing just enough in Las Vegas to kill off the threat from Lando Norris mathematically. But Las Vegas was more than just about the title; it was a cracking race with a Mercedes one-two and action up and down the field. We’re looking for a sponsor to get to this race next year, that’s how much we enjoyed it! We have a pile of news about Cadillac joining F1, some rallies and other local news too… think TA2, Formula Regional and ‘More Than Equal’. And then there’s concussion and the big story in Auto Action about how motorspor ..read more

Will Brown won the Adelaide 500... and the Supercars Championship, here's how we saw it
The Auto Action RevLimiter

It was double trouble for the Supercars Championship Series, with Will Brown his first Supercars title while spearheading a Red Bull Ampol Racing one-two that left the squad dominating the Teams' Championship. And because it was the Adelaide 500, there was heaps happening. Turn 8 was tearing up cars again, and we think there is a simple fix or two to keep it challenging but to reduce the danger that left two drivers not well enough to race. Zach Bates locked down the Dunlop Super2 Series in a 'future' star studded field when some of the main game teams start looking properly. Todd Hazelwood di ..read more

This week’s Auto Action RevLimiter is all about looking forward. We are looking forward to the final round of the Supercars this weekend. We’re looking forward to the McLaren letting Oscar Piastri off the leash. We’re looking forward to return of Targa Tasmania… and really, we’re looking forward to more motorsport. But we also have to look backwards at the crowning of the three-time NASCAR Champ, a new Xfinity Series winner, the fastest drag strip in Australia and the new that Tickford is not actually for sale… And if you are on the AC Delco site, use AAREVL25 for a 20% discount on all your ..read more

Verstappen swims to F1 title… MotoGP upheaval with one round left
The Auto Action RevLimiter

Max Verstappen likely sealed his fourth F1 World Championship with a storming drive from 17th on the grid to win a wet Brazilian Grand Prix. Lando Norris still has a mathematical chance, but that is it. Alpine also set up a $50m payday with dual podiums, elevating it a few spots on the constructors' battle. MotoGP has also experienced some weather events, with the deadly floods around Valencia forcing the final rounds of the series to find a new home. Jorge Martin is looking at his first MotoGP title, aided by a fall from Francesco Bagnaia, but the fight is alive after one of the greatest race ..read more

Waters and Kostecki win on the Gold Coast, and Sainz does the same for Ferrari in Mexico…
The Auto Action RevLimiter

All the major motorsports championships around the world are closing in on their finals rounds, and all are trimming the contenders. Supercars and MotoGP are down to two, F1 is also maybe two but that is a stretch, and NASCAR still has eight… but only for one more week. So how did it all happen? We debrief Supercars on the Gold Coast and wins to Cam Waters and Brodie Kostecki, but a shocker to Chaz Mostert has left that title fight down to only Triple Eight teammates Will Brown and Broc Feeney with one round remaining. Waters said he wanted to be a nuisance, and he was. Lando Norris and Max Ve ..read more
