Wedding on The Bell House Front Steps in Lexington, Kentucky

This chilly, late-October wedding was everything I never knew I needed in front of my camera in 2020. The trees were starting to turn, the air was crisp, the house was decorated perfectly, and the colors were just spectacular. I think I said it many times that day, but I think Mary Elizabeth and Josh picked the most perfect day to get married. Mary Elizabeth grew up in this neighborhood, so it was only appropriate that she held her and Josh’s wedding here. Throughout the day, she shared bits and pieces about herself and memories held at the Bell House as a child. It was a very sentimental day ..read more

When Marlene and Dennis’s son reached out to me about getting some photos taken of his precious parents for their 50th anniversary, I was giddy with excitement. Fifty years of marriage, commitment, love, support, and growth is something to truly celebrate! Marlene and Dennis were married in 1970 and during their session we laughed about how much wedding trends have changed, talked about adoption and raising their son, and shared our experiences with travels. Marlene and Dennis were just so genuine and delicate with each other. Dennis said after 50 years of being married to his beautiful wife ..read more

Paige and Chris have been married a couple years and wanted to get some updated photos for their anniversary and holiday card. I loved getting to hang out with these two and their precious dog, Millie. We walked around Castlewood Park, played in the sunshine, and chatted about life, the pandemic, the election, owning a business, and just about everything in between. Chris and Paige were so much fun to have in front of my camera and having Millie there was just the cherry on top! :) Xo, Sarah ..read more

At-Home Session with New Homeowners Carolyn and Xavier

I was Carolyn and Xavier’s engagement and wedding photographer a few years back. They purchased my beginning-of-the-pandemic-special Future Photo Money and were excited to use it at their first home for an at-home session this Fall. I love getting to hang out and continually photograph my past couples. It’s so fun to watch them journey through their own different chapters of life. Carolyn and Xavier were so stoked about their new home and wanted to photograph it in a different way. They left a wall blank and painted it, butt-handprints and all. ;) Then we got a few shots with their two pups i ..read more

Bethany and Jordan's Intimate Lake Erie Wedding

When the world was normal, Bethany filled me in on every small and beautiful detail she had carefully planned for her Kentucky wedding in the Red River Gorge. But when the COVID cases kept rising, Bethany and Jordan made the difficult decision to call off their huge celebration and move things to her parents’ house on Lake Erie with an intimate ceremony and celebration. The weather on Bethany and Jordan’s wedding day was incredible. The sky was clear and blue, the sun was shining, and the vibes were calm. Everyone who attended was so friendly, kind, and helpful to get the place ready. Bethany ..read more

A Louisville, Kentucky Private Residence Wedding | Kara + George

I feel so hard for my 2020 couples who have had to make sacrifices and changes this year. Whether you’ve changed venues, trimmed the guest list, or postponed altogether, my heart goes out to you! Kara and George faced their own bouts of changes during the course of the pandemic. Ultimately, all of my couples have proceeded with caution, and these two were no different. They did everything they could to still celebrate and do it responsibly. It was such an honor to get to hang out with them, celebrate with them, and be by their side photographing the entire day. You may recognize some familiar ..read more

This beautiful late-summer family session was just what I needed to kick off my busy season. The Breeding family is absolutely precious, too! We hung out in the UK Arboretum one morning, took pics, and ate snacks. I had so much joy giggling and playing with these kiddos and they made my job super fun and easy! The kids were so well behaved and funny, and gave me a chance to really capture their sweet personalities. After the session, I was stoked to get home and edit these photos because I just knew they’d be super cute, colorful, and sweetness-overload! Enjoy these great photos of a great fa ..read more

This kid. He’s bright, hilarious, smart, dedicated, loyal, and fiercely witty. He’s a 2021 senior and about to embark on this crazy journey called life. He’s so cool and awesome and also my cousin. :) Each family member of mine that I have the joy of photographing means so much to me. I treasure photography as my “gift” and getting to document my own family is not only important, but also a complete honor. My aunt and uncle/Sawyer’s parents, Terry and Laryssa, have been huge supporters of my photography business ever since I started. I’ve taken their family photos, the girls’ dance photos, Mo ..read more

I have a confession. I LOVE when friends of past clients hire me. I love my own clients like family, but it makes my heart swell with happiness when the people of my people want to work with me. ♥ Mandy and Bryan are friends of one of my 2019 wedding couples, Amy and Ryan. Mandy was one of Amy’s bridesmaids and had gotten to see how I work behind the scenes at a wedding. She reached out to me a couple months ago about booking a maternity session for their baby boy, due this Fall! We chatted about she and Bryan, what they like to do together, and about expecting a baby boy. They both love bein ..read more

When Amy reached out to me about taking photos of their precious soon-to-be-born baby girl, Violet, I was so excited! I hadn’t done an in-home newborn session in a while, and kind of forgot just how TINY newborns are! Violet was 100% perfect the entire session and her two fur-brothers were equally as amazing. I loved getting to spend the morning with the Braden family. Amy and her husband, Drew snuggled their brand new baby girl and their dogs for some perfectly sweet in-home photos. I loved how their one dog kept sniffing her crib to check in and make sure his little sister was still okay ..read more
