Our wedding day is a day that we both will cherish forever. The day was filled with love and laughter while we were surrounded by our family and friends.
In true Kentucky fashion, we experienced true Kentucky weather— sunshine and rain. Although, the 10 minute rain storm during our ceremony was an unplanned part of our wedding, it made for a magical moment. Shortly after, we were blessed with a rainbow over our beautiful venue. Old wise-tails state rain on your wedding day is a sign of a long-lasting marriage. We viewed it as Kentucky weather just proving our marriage was meant to be.

As I’m sure anyone would say, every detail of our day was incredibly special! Our venue was my husband’s family farm, with the ceremony site at the highest point and our reception in the barndominium. The arbor for our ceremony was also built by my husband’s dad, uncle, and grandfather out of 100+ year old (hand hewn) wood from an old cabin that used to be on the property. To get up to the ceremony site, guests either walked or rode up in a decked out wagon pulled by a tractor!
At the reception we had an amazing coffee cart run by a women’s ministry from Lexington! They’re called Lane of Roses ..read more

Camren and I began dating in high school when he asked me to the homecoming dance and even though we both went to different colleges - him to Morehead State and me to UK - we stayed together. After living apart for so long, we both now live in Lexington and we knew that we wanted to showcase our new hometown for our wedding. Camren is originally from Louisiana and while I'm a native Kentuckian, a lot of my family are in Michigan and Florida so we wound up treating our wedding weekend like a destination wedding knowing that almost everyone would be coming in from out of town.

Justin and I carefully planned the menu and wine list for the evening. We met with the chef and he keyed in on our personalities to create a "New York meets Kentucky" five course meal. We loved it!
Keeneland has been a special place to me for as long as I can remember. When Justin and I visited there while we were dating, we felt romance in the air and a sense of comfort, home.
Above all, the flowers made the experience magical! We both LOVE flowers. I feel they can tell a story, and the design by Ben Bland captured our excitement and gratitude over our unexpected journey to this special day ..read more

We were married on our family farm in Frankfort. Our day began with our ceremony in an open field, accompanied with big white umbrellas and dainty white flowers. At the entrance of our ceremony, we had a champagne wall for our guests to enjoy throughout the service. After the ceremony, our guests walked over to the cocktail hour around the pool. Hors D'oeuvres were passed as guests mingled while also enjoying our signature cocktails. After cocktail hour, the party began! Our bridal party of 22 was announced and then dinner was served. For dinner, we had 3 different stations: an Italian station ..read more

Jacob and I met in optometry school so eyes have always been a big part of our relationship. We wanted to have a few subtle nods to our optometry ties by having a neon sign that read “ I only have eyes for you” and naming one of our signature drinks “The Eye Do”. We also had our mentor and retina surgeon, Dr. Angelia Thompson, officiate our wedding.
We had the Horsebox at our wedding which was such a fun, interactive way for our guests to enjoy drinks! They also helped us include our sweet pup, Juniper (Juni), in our big day by serving a signature drink, “The Junebug”, and serving every drink ..read more

Our venue couldn’t have been more perfect for a “Garden Party” inspired wedding. It created the perfect landscape and atmosphere for our special day. We chose a palette of dusty blue complemented by white and green florals, which beautifully contrasted with the surroundings and made our wedding truly stand out. We held our reception under a tent, where our tables stole the show. They were simple yet elegantly lined with pops of greenery, gold and dusty blue. In addition to the father-daughter dance, I danced with my Papaw. This was a special moment for the both of us as this was something we h ..read more

Our wedding had so many fun details that really made the day. It started with having 2 massage therapists available for the bridesmaids to have a relaxing massage the morning of the wedding while getting ready. We had a very large bridal party, 13 bridesmaids and 11 groomsmen. This made the day so fun having all of our incredible friends with us. Believe it or not, the whole day was calm and perfect. People thought we were crazy having such a large bridal party but truly we couldn't imagine it any other way.

Our wedding truly stood out for its unique setting and thoughtful details, held at the stunning Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort. We welcomed our guests with champagne in the enchanting sunken garden for the ceremony. For the cocktail hour, we crafted signature drinks (Bride’s -Cucumber Gin and Tonic + Groom's Old Fashioned) with the Castle & Key’s mixologist.
In keeping with Kentucky tradition, we buried a bottle of bourbon a month before our big day for good luck and good weather. We dug it up on our wedding day, and the weather was perfect!
