The King's Chapel of the Savoy  AndyScott, CC BY-SA 4.0, via Wikimedia Commons The service for the Royal Victorian Order takes place every 4 years at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. The King's Chapel of the Savoy is the official chapel for the order. However, it has become too small to hold the growing number of members, so the service was moved to St George's Chapel. The service is usually only attended by those who have received the Royal Victorian Order. The chart lists all of the royals who have received the order and could possibly attend.        ..read more

It is expected that King Charles will continue Queen Elizabeth's traiditon of giving an annual Commonwealth Day Address. Queen Elizabeth used to give a pre-recorded speech (audio only) that was played during the service. In the last few years of her reign, her address was just printed in the program.  It is unclear what format King Charles will use. But I have left in a Video column for now, as it easier to have be blank than to add it in later.  Year Theme Text Video Notes 2020s 2029 - - - - 2028 - - - - 2027 - - - - 2026 - - - - 2025 - - - - 2024 - - - - 2023 For ..read more

[Notes added by Gert's Royals are in Brackets] Dear Members of Parliament and Government, The second half of the legislative period begins today. Crisis management will also be necessary in the second half of the legislative period. In addition to the stream of refugees, energy security, possible recessions in important markets, and difficulties in the supply chains will probably be important challen ..read more
